Katherine Dudley is an award-winning Russian-American Cinematographer with a decade of experience working on narrative films, TV, music video, commercial, and social media content. 

An avid traveler an part-time Digital Nomad, Katherine started her career in Chicago and Seattle, before moving to Los Angeles in 2019. 

Katherine’s passion for Cinematography comes from her lifelong belief in the power of visual storytelling, and how a well-crafted image can speak or evoke emotion from anyone, regardless of language or background. Katherine draws inspiration from her love of literature, travel, and foreign films, and sees each story as a world to be built. Her style as a cinematographer seeks to create striking visuals that elevate the reality, while remaining grounded in it. 

Katherine has worked on a wide range of genres and styles of film, and has experience with documentary and foreign language content. Most recently, her work on Tamil-language short ‘Kanavili’ earned her an award for ‘Best Cinematography’ at the Global India International Film Festival. 

As a creative, Katherine’s main passion is working on projects that she feels can really bring people together, and that both entertain and make you think at the same time. Long term, her dream is to work on films that promote more international collaboration between filmmakers from different countries.
